The Royal Regiment of Scotland is the senior and only Scottish line infantry regiment of the British Army. It consists of four regular and two reserve battalions, plus an incremental company (Balaklava Company). Regimental HQ is in Edinburgh. Its motto is Nemo Me Impune Lacessit (No One Provokes Me With Impunity).
