The British Army’s 170 (Infrastructure Support) Engineer Group (170 Infra Sp Engr Gp), Corps of Royal Engineers, was formed in April 2005 to provide infrastructure delivery on military operations. Previously called Military Works Force, 170 Engineer Group comprises several specialist units: 20 Works Group RE (Air Support); 62 Works Group RE; 63 Works Group RE; 64 Works Group RE; 65 Works Groups RE; 66 Works group RE; and Reserve elements.
