The Boeing P-8 Poseidon is a military Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) developed for the United States Navy. Formerly known as the Multimission Maritime Aircraft (MMA), the aircraft conducts anti-submarine warfare (ASW), anti-surface warfare (ASUW), and shipping interdiction, along with an electronic signals intelligence (ELINT) role. It is produced by Boeing Defense, Space & Security, modified from the 737-800ERX.
