REME, RLC, RTR Soldiers Assist Police in Skripal Poisoning Case

The MOD has released pictures showing soldiers from the Royal Mechanical and Electrical Engineers (REME), the Royal Logistic Corps (RLC) and the Royal Tank Regiment (RTR) removing a contaminated vehicle from the Accident and Emergency entrance at Salisbury Hospital in Wiltshire on Operation MORLOP, in response to a request from the police.

According to the BBC, personnel from the Royal Marines and RAF were also involved. Identified units include 29 Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Group and instructors from the Defence Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear Centre. Forces.net added that 40 Commando Royal Marines, who have recently taken part in Exercise “Toxic Dagger”, as well as the RAF Regiment’s 20 Force Protection Wing were also involved in the operation.
