The US Army Research Laboratory is testing drone production using 3D printing. The On-Demand Small Unmanned Aircraft System (ODSUAS) was demonstrated to at the Army Expeditionary Warrior Experiments (AEWE) at Fort Benning, Georgia, on 1 December 2016.

Team leader, Eric Spero, was quoted as saying:

We’ve created a process for converting soldier mission needs into a 3-D printed On-Demand Small Unmanned Aircraft System, or ODSUAS, as we’ve been calling it.
